چکیده

Bullous pemphigoid disease activity index (BPDAI) is the standard indicator of in bullous (BP). However, examining patients’ whole body burdensome to both patient and health care workers subjected inter-examiner bias, hence need investigate other surrogate markers for BPDAI. The purpose study quantify correlate candidate BP namely visual analogue scale pruritus (VAS-pruritus), thymus activation-regulated chemokines (TARC), anti-BP180 (BPDAI). A total 29 cases were examined; clinical marker (BPDAI), conventional biomarkers (anti-BP180, TARC score) reported VAS-pruritus measured correlated throughout course disease. We calculated a statistical cross-correlation function (CCF) between two time-series variables BPDAI VAS-pruritus, TARC, anti-BP180. CCF ranges from -1 1, indicating that 1 means perfect positive negative correlation. change anti-BP180, 0.928, 0.972, 0.923 respectively, changes highly with aforementioned markers. therefore conclude antiBP-180, may be used as monitor activity.

Anti-BP180 NC16A IgG Titres as an Indicator of Disease Activity and Outcome in Asian Patients with Bullous Pemphigoid.

INTRODUCTION Anti-BP180 IgG titres were observed to parallel disease activity in case series of bullous pemphigoid (BP). This study aimed to examine whether anti-BP180 titres are an indicator of disease severity, clinical course and outcome in Asian patients with BP. MATERIALS AND METHODS This was a prospective observational study conducted between March 2005 and March 2008 in the Immunoderma...

BP230- and BP180-specific auto-antibodies in bullous pemphigoid.

Bullous pemphigoid is a subepidermal blistering disease associated with auto-antibodies (auto-ab) to BP180 and BP230. We developed ELISAs utilizing baculovirus-encoded recombinant proteins of BP230 and BP180 and studied their diagnostic and prognostic values by assessing the profile of the auto-ab response in 127 patients with BP. 39 patients had focal involvement, whereas 88 had generalized di...

Serum Levels of Autoantibodies to BP180 Correlate With Disease Activity in Patients With Bullous Pemphigoid

Main Outcome Measures: Disease activity, serum levels of autoantibodies to BP180, and titers of anti– basement membrane zone autoantibodies were assayed before initiation of treatment and 4 and 8 weeks later. Reactivity to BP180 was analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using a recombinant form of BP180 NC16A. Titers of anti–basement membrane zone autoantibodies were assayed by indirect...

Association of Autoantibodies to BP180 with Disease Activity in Greek Patients with Bullous Pemphigoid

39 bullous pemphigoid (BP) patients were studied to assess the clinical significance of anti-BP180 and anti-BP230 circulating autoantibodies of BP and correlate their titers with the clinical scores of the BP Disease Area Index (BPDAI) and the Autoimmune Bullous Skin Disorder Intensity Score (ABSIS) as well as with the intensity of pruritus measured by the BPDAI pruritus component. All paramete...

Serum levels of autoantibodies to BP180 correlate with disease activity in patients with bullous pemphigoid.

BACKGROUND The 180-kDa transmembrane hemidesmosomal protein (BPAG2) has been identified as an important autoantigen in bullous pemphigoid (BP). Using the NC16A domain as the antigenic target, a highly sensitive and specific enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of autoantibodies to BP180 was developed. AIM To investigate the correlation of clinical severity and ELISA ind...
